The research on which this report is based began with the assumption that there was a gap in the knowledge that relief agencies had. The report tries to bridge that gap by describing the political, kinship, religious and economic structures amongst the Dinka, before going on to look at the welfare structure, the circumstances surrounding vulnerability, and possible ways of addressing that vulnerability in programme interventions.
