This report presents the findings of a survey on perceptions of truth, justice, reconciliation and healing carried out in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) protection of civilians (POC) site in Malakal, Upper Nile State. The primary goal of the survey was to determine what people in the POC think should be done to address the legacies of conflict and widespread impunity in South Sudan. The survey included a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) measure to help understand the psychological impacts of war trauma. Thus, the results also assess how trauma and mental health affect people’s perceptions of truth, justice, reconciliation and healing.
